Elijah Quartermaine

Elijah Quartermaine Katanning Western Australia
Elijah Quartermaine is considered to be the first settler in the district. In 1851 he was grazing 1,900 sheep and after finding abundant water and feed settled in 1852.

Frederick Piesse

Frederick Henry Piesse Katanning Western Australia
Frederick Henry Piesse, CMG (6 December 1853 – 29 June 1912) was a farmer, businessman and politician who is credited with much of the early development of Katanning.

Alexander Thomson

Alexander Alec Thomson Katanning Western Australia

William Rogers

William Rogers Katanning Western Australia
William John Rogers was a very successful retailer who began with modest premises in Katanning before expanding into his larger two-storey "Rogers Central Store" that he built in Clive Street.
